Minecraft Creator Suggests Pirating the Game

Markuss Persson, the creator of Minecraft, has simply told to a fan to pirate his game. This is due to the user asking about free accounts as he didn’t have the cash.

To me, it seems pretty classy of the guy to promote the piracy of his own product. Most developers these days hate piracy, but if they bring it up they change their views based on who owns the product. Not this guy, he stays true to his values.

Ubisoft Expects 1.37 Billion Dollars for 2011

Like with most companies, the holiday season is a great time to make sales. Between Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas, and Boxing Day, there is much time to bring in the cash. French publisher Ubisoft knows this well, seeing as they raked in about $40 million more than they expected. The third quarter of Ubisoft’s fiscal 2011 ended on December 31, so they released their estimated sales figures.

Previously, Ubisoft projected their sales to be between $737 million and $788 million, but they blew past that with $827 million. On top of that, they had to make some edits to their projected full-year sales. As of now, they expect to bring in anywhere between $1.33 billion (€1.05 billion) and $1.37 billion (€1.08 billion) by the end of its fiscal year 2011.

Talking about the third quarter sales, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said the results reflected the company’s strength amidst competition.

Against an extremely competitive backdrop, we were able to reach an ever-wider audience thanks to the quality of our games and our capacity to create brands for both hardcore and casual players. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations posted a solid performance, in line with our forecasts, and Just Dance generated outstanding sales.

According to GameSpot, the games is coming to the PlayStation Network on January 24, for $10. You can visit the ESRB website here, and view a screenshot of the site below.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 Gets Release Date

The newest game to the Tiger Woods series has been given a release date, and it’s not to far off. In the game, it is rumored that you can use the Kinect Sensor and PlayStation Move, both with voice integration, to completely experience the sex scandal that ravaged the news. Sadly, the 4D aspect allowing you to feel it has not been invented yet. On top of that, if you miss a putt shorter than 5 feet, you can use your ‘Tiger Sense’ to find a spectator and beat them mercilessly, making them bleed ‘Tiger Blood.’

But on a legitimate note, the game will be out for Xbox 360 and PlayStation on March 27. Destructoid reports that it will be the first EA Sport game that is Kinect powered, but all you PlayStation Move owners can use the motion controls too. The Masters Collector’s Edition will be $10 more, including extra golf courses in it.

Homefront Ultimate Edition Due Before April

If you remember, Kim Jong-il is dead. In a possible attempt to revitalize the game after practically predicting North Korea’s leaders death, THQ has announced that they will be releasing an Ultimate Edition for the game before their next fiscal year, which starts in April.

There has been no word on what it will cost or what is included, but many suspect multiplayer content “The Rock” and “Fire Sale.” Don’t forget that a Homefront sequel is on the way by first quarter 2014.
